I found easy dessert recipes as my way into the cooking experience. For novice cooks of all age groups cheap, easy dessert recipes are a really good introduction into cooking.
We all know cooking to be complex and very involved and if pressed most if not all people have a disaster story to tell of their cooking experience. Perhaps this could be you that disaster indelibly etched within you, affecting how, when and for whom you produce meals? Is this true? Is this why convenience food, fills the ever powerful supermarket aisles? Is it not just the convenience they are needed for but the ability to just shake, pierce and microwave and eat?
This may be you, I know it certainly was me in a former life, I remember serving the meal to choruses of ‘it looks as good as the picture on the box!’ Trust me this is not good.
I am saying is this does not have to be the way, cooking is a great skill that we all can learn and easy dessert recipes are one of the best ways to begin.
If you start with some cheap and easy dessert recipes and then after some success your confidence will grow and you will be making more complex and elaborate dishes before you realize. Desserts, especially simple basic ones are very rarely a total failure and usually you can still eat the failures!
